Publishing your site
When your site is ready, publishing makes it live on the internet in one click. No servers, build pipelines, or certificates to manage.
What happens when you publish
Section titled “What happens when you publish”- Hoversite uploads your site to our hosting edge.
- It goes live at a dedicated address like
site-96791fca.hoversite.build. - HTTPS is automatic — the certificate is issued and renewed for you.
That hoversite.build address is yours for as long as the site exists. It’s
a real production URL you can share, and it keeps working even after you
attach a custom domain — useful as a stable fallback while DNS changes
propagate.
Updating a published site
Section titled “Updating a published site”Publishing again replaces the live version atomically. Visitors never see a half-updated site: they get the old version until the new one is fully live.
Next step: your own domain
Section titled “Next step: your own domain”A hoversite.build subdomain is great for previews and sharing, but most
sites want their own name. See Custom domains —
including how to migrate a domain that is currently serving a live site
elsewhere, without downtime.
