Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?

hoversite.build address and any custom domain.
Can I keep my domain at my current registrar?
Section titled “Can I keep my domain at my current registrar?”Yes. You never transfer the domain — you only add or change DNS records at whatever registrar you already use.
Will migrating my domain cause downtime?
Section titled “Will migrating my domain cause downtime?”Not if you use the certificate-first migration flow: the certificate is issued before you switch DNS, so there’s no window where visitors see a security error. See Migrating a live domain.
What happens to my hoversite.build address after I add a domain?
Section titled “What happens to my hoversite.build address after I add a domain?”It keeps working. It’s a permanent, stable address for your site regardless of what your own domain’s DNS is doing.
